Ben Moody's Version of "My Immortal" (Audio) (2012)


Evanescence co-founder Ben Moody published his version of the song "My Immortal" on his YouTube channel. The song was originally released in late 2003 as the band's third single from their debut studio album. This version has a new arrangement and the lyrics are sung entirely by Ben himself.

Ben wrote "My Immortal" for his late grandfather based on a short story he wrote. Despite the popularity of the song, Amy Lee once stated that she actually hated it and that the band was sick of playing the song.

The video itself was uploaded by Ben Moody on September 10, 2012.

This is actually not the only version of "My Immortal" performed by male singers. Another one you can hear is the one covered by the German band, Gregorian:

A video showing behind the scenes of the music video "My Immortal". The video was directed by David Mould and shot in Gothic Quarter, Barcelona, Spain. It was shot in October 2011, before Ben Moody left the band.

The Making of "Going Under" (2003)


Behind the scenes of "Going Under" official music video which was shot in Berlin, Germany in 2003. The director, Philipp Stölzl, also directed Evanescence's previous music video, "Bring Me To Life". In the video, Amy Lee wore a custom-made red corset (she designed it herself) which cost her US$2,500.
